Premier Truck Builder, Jeff Kelderman, Builds Official Sprint Sound & Speed Presented by SunTrust, A Celebration of Music and Motorsports Show Truck
Oskaloosa, Iowa (December 15, 2005)… Jeff Kelderman is known for building heart stopping, head turning show trucks that often are found on the cover of prominent automotive magazines, and featured on leading cable truck TV shows. The Sprint Sound & Speed show truck debuted at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, NV, Nov. 1-4, 2005. Soon it will be showcased at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum prior to the first annual Sprint Sound & Speed Presented by SunTrust event. Scheduled to be held January 13 & 14, 2006, the event, the
first of its kind, will combine the drivers and cars of NASCAR, with some of the top stars of country music. All proceeds will benefit the Victory Junction Gang Camp, and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
The Sprint Sound & Speed celebration is a collaborative effort to
combine the drivers and cars of NASCAR® with the stars of country music. This year’s event will include: interactive fan attractions, driver and artist autograph sessions, the display of 2006 NEXTEL Cup Series cars, an exhibit of vintage cars and historic artifacts from racing and country music legends, as well as an auction of music and racing memorabilia. Fans will have the opportunity to interact with both current and legendary stars of NASCAR and country music including: Dale Jr., the Coca Cola Racing Team (Dale Jarrett, Ricky Rudd, Michael Waltrip, Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch, Tony Stewart, etc.), Carl Edwards, Kasey Kahne and more.
Appearances by country greats include: Vince Gill, Trisha Yearwood, Big & Rich, Trace Adkins, Chely Wright, Jo Dee Messina, Diamond Rio, and Kenny Rogers. A closing concert event featuring country duo, Montgomery Gentry, Grammy-winning country star, LeAnn Rimes, and hot newcomer, Keith Anderson, at Nashville’s Gaylord Entertainment Center is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 14. Honorary co-chairs are country music legend, Vince Gill, president of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Board of Officers and Trustees, and Kyle Petty, co-founder of the Victory Junction Gang Camp. The Victory Junction Gang Camp is a not-for-profit organization that provides a free camp experience for children with a chronic medical condition or serious illness.
The Sprint Sound & Speed show truck developed by Jeff Kelderman is a 2005 Chevy 2500HD Duramax 4X4. During the two-day event, the Sprint Sound and Speed Truck will be on display at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and outside the Gaylord Entertainment Center the night of the closing concert.
In addition to the awesome Sprint Sound & Speed graphics that were designed and installed by APE Wraps (http://www.apewraps.com), the truck features a 12” Kelderman Air Ride lift kit with a Kelderman engineered straight axle Dana suspension kit, Accu-Air computerized ride control system, Bilstein 7100 shock absorbers, Banks 6 Gun power system with a Banks stainless exhaust, Kenwood audio/video system
featuring: four amps, 14 speakers, six video monitors and navigation, Weld Racing 22” x 12” Cheyenne wheels, Nitto, 40” X 15.50” X 22” Mud Grappler tires, and an APM Ram Air Hood.
Jeff Kelderman is actually no stranger to concepting and creating
show trucks for drivers and worthwhile charities. After developing a custom truck for Tyler Walker, he was asked to develop Kasey Kahne’s (driver of the Evernham Motorsports #9 Dodge) 2005 Dodge Ram for the Goodyear Garage Sweepstakes and auction, to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. This truck raised over $25,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
